Why did you choose Hair & Makeup Artistry – Giulia?

“Giulia was recommended to me by my hairdresser, Reichen from Hare’s Hair. He had worked with her on numerous occasions and told me all about her gorgeous work. The more I heard, the more I knew I had to have her.”

“Giulia has such a friendly, bubbly personality that you can’t help but relax and feel at ease in her presence! She works with you to ensure that you’re 110% happy with your look for the big day – I certainly was.”

How did the finished result make you feel?

“Just like every bride wants to feel on her wedding day – absolutely gorgeous!”

Loveliest compliment on the day?

“My husband telling me how beautiful I looked.”

What was the best tip that Giulia gave you?

“That, as hard as it would be, to try and get plenty of sleep the night before. Oh, and to make sure I stayed hydrated!”

The makeup artist’s story

Giulia Ponticello from Hair & Makeup Artistry Giulia has a passion for making brides feel and look their best for their wedding day. With 11 years’ experience in the industry, she prides herself on keeping the ‘getting ready’ process fun and stress-free.

What did you think when Selena told you about her desired look, dress and overall wedding style?

“Speaking to Selena over the phone she gave me a run down on her wedding style and expectations. I was more than happy to assist in being part of her special day.”

Was there a trial run? If so, how was it helpful? Did you make any changes to the original brief?

I insist on having a trial and work with the hairdresser, so that the client can see the complete look. I always take notes on my face chart, so that there are no worries on the big day. At the trial we made a little change to the original brief, to ensure Selena looked her absolute best. She was more than happy with it!”

What was the biggest challenge on the day?

Experience and time management help eliminate any challenges! Happily, there were no challenges on Selena’s wedding day.”

What’s the one product you can’t live without and use on every bride?

I’m cheating and picking two products! I can’t get by without Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer by Napoleon Perdis and All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay.

What’s the one tip you give every brides on their wedding day?

“To make sure they take care of themselves and get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water.”

What’s the one word you’d use to describe how Selena looked?
