. There's a lot to see and experience at our expo ( with over 150 exhibitors, it's the largest in Queensland and one of the largest in Australia!) so you don't want sore feet!
• There's a lot of competitions to enter so come prepared with peel off labels with your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and wedding date printed on them. You can make them yourself on your computer.
• Instead of using your work email address for expo follow-up information from exhibitors (they are the ONLY people who receive your details - we do not sell or give-away data base lists!) get a new, free e-mail address from one of the many free services like Hotmail, GMail or Yahoo and use for all your wedding-related business.
• Another good idea is to rent a PO box while you're planning your wedding so that all the wedding related material can come to that one address.
• Bring a notebook, pad or planner to make important notes about the service providers you meet and to log in any appointments you make.
• Bring your fiance, mum and bridesmaids along and make a fun day of it. It always helps when you have others' opinions on things! Enjoy a glass of bubbles at our Champagne Bar and make the most of our seminars for some great wedding inspiration.
• Bring swatches of material with your wedding colours on them. This will help when talking to cake-makers and florists or choosing your shoes or table decorations.
• If you already have a gown skip the fashion show and visit exhibitor's booths during that period when you'll both have a better opportunity to discuss your needs and wants.
• If possible, avoid bringing small children with you because they tire or get bored easily meaning you don't get the best from the day.
• Take as much literature as you can from everyone because you don't know what may appeal to you once you're relaxed at home. Make sure you mark the brochures from exhibitors that particularly appeal so you don't forget who they are.
• Ask lots of questions. The expo is filled with Queensland's best wedding professionals so while you're there you should take advantage of the opportunity to learn as much as you can. This is probably the only weekend when you can meet so many professionals under one roof so take full advantage of it. |
