Fairytale Wedding Cakes

It wasn’t simply a coincidence each of our cake designers answered our creative brief with floral accents – flowers are having a serious moment in the cake world! Whether it’s a structural edible bloom adorning a streamlined modern creation or lashings of soft flowers cascading down tiers, floral details add a touch of timeless elegance to your cake design. Opt for a bright hue to introduce a wedding accent colour into the mix, or keep things understatedly romantic in dreamy colours.

Clean, minimalist lines, hand-painted details and elegant flourishes defined Vas Hatzinik’s modern cake design. We are head over heels for her watercolour-esque details, complemented by gloriously gold floral additions. A white fondant base finished with crisp black ribbons provides a classic foundation for the contemporary touches, beautifully complete with a single, striking plum peony.

Cake Nouveau

Fairytale wedding cake

Venilu Dones’ version of romance is all about texture, texture, texture! Layers of light, white ruffles adorn the cake’s base, whilst the top tier is every girl’s dream, encased in rows of pearlised peachy fondant beads. A blooming edible rose is a statement addition on top, adding a pop of colour and form to the design.Venilu’s use of a moulded floral accent is the perfect choice for her modern take on a whimsical theme – we love how the structured petals echo the texture and colour below

Melding classical detailing with a riot of floral finishes, Joanne Cavanagh’s three-tier extravaganza is a sight to behold. Intricate ‘lace’ winds its way around the top and bottom layers, softly contrasting with the white fondant base. The middle tier features a smattering of glossy pearls, whilst the top tier and a section of the top tier and a section of the base is adorned with an explosion of florals, greenery and purple berries.

Spectacular Showstopper

Toowong French Patisserie

Wedding cake alternative

Anthony Steele, Toowong French Patisserie’s Head Patissiere, crafted a breathtaking croquembouche for our dreamy cakes spread, a renowned French dessert which literally translates to “crunch in mouth”. Layers of pint- sized profiteroles are arranged in a tower formation and coated with crunchy toffee and decorative sugar crystals to create a dazzling showpiece. A swirl of opulent ivory and plum- hued roses was the perfect finishing touch, adding colour and romantic form to this beautiful cake alternative.
