Proposal
David had been working LOOONG hours at work and I had had a really busy semester at uni. So as a treat for us both David booked us in for 2 nights in these rainforest cabins at Springbrook, Queensland. They cancelled on us on the day (November 1st 2008) when we were on our way. Disheartened we decided to choose a beautiful place at Monteville by the time we got there we were exhausted to we ordered take out Indian and picked up a bottle of wine. We lit candles and after dinner David proposed. He had the most beautiful ring there. It had all made sense why he had been so upset when the other place cancelled. Turned out to be the most romantic weekend.

Funniest Moment
At the church I could feel my garter slipping down my leg, when the ceremony was over and we had to move onto the alter to sign the registry it slipped right down I tried to keep it on my foot but it fell right off, because my dress was so big it ended being pulled to the corner of the first step. A few people saw it, including the priest (who thought it was funny) we had a giggle and if that is the worst thing that goes wrong on your wedding you have to be happy with that. Was also funny zipping around the golf course in the buggies!

Special Memory
The WHOLE day! The ceremony was just beautiful. Having my Nonna there wearing the dress she wore to my parent's wedding 25 years ago and the wedding was at the church my parents married in.

Special Thanks
To our parents for their love and support over the year. My Mum, (Anna) for all her paitence and support throughout the whole planning process. Our bridal party for helping make the day fun. Dale (bride's brother) for shadowing the photographer and getting amazing shots.

Advice / Comments
I will admit I stressed at times throughout the planning process but mostly it was a fun, enjoyable process for me. I planned most things alone with the support and advice of my fiance (and sometimes Mum when I needed girl's advice!) and I think the less opinions the better. Enjoy the process and do things the way you and your future husband want, at the end of the day it is your wedding and a day to express your love and commitment to each other in front of friends and family - not a show or production.
