Just Married: Sarah + Brad

  |

If there’s one thing you can say about this groom it’s that he sure knows how to do a romantic proposal. After meeting Sarah on a night out with friends, the couple dated for two years before Brad planned a special surprise for his gorgeous girlfriend during a holiday in Thailand. “Brad arranged for our hotel room to be decorated with candles and rose petals while we were out for dinner one night,” says Sarah. “When we returned I thought we had walked into the wrong room… until I saw Brad on one knee with a beautiful ring!” Smooth.

The two tied the knot back in Australia on 22 October 2016, in a wedding filled with classic styling and sweet moments. Saying “I do” at Christ Church St Lucia, Sarah and Brad joined their 90 guests for a reception at Mt Coot-tha’s Summit Restaurant & Bar, where they took in the views and watched the sun set. “It’s a beautiful space with an open floor plan that lets the breathtaking views of the city take centre stage,” says Sarah. Before enjoying plenty of delicious fare, a live band set the tone and created one of the real highlights of the night. “Everyone in the bridal party – from the flowergirls to the groomsmen and bridesmaids – did their own individual dance while the band played Hootie and the Blowfish’s ‘Only Wanna Be With You’,” says Sarah. “Everyone cheered them on – it was so great to see all our guests kicking back, celebrating and having a good time!”
