Esther and Damien share with us their special day at Lakelands Golf Club.
What we loved about the venue? It was aesthetically stunning and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff at Lakelands were also incredibly helpful right from the beginning. The venue looked amazing when… the reception room was decorated with fairy lights and cloth drapery adorning the dance floor. The food was… delicious and the portions were very generous – we definitely didn’t go hungry.
Decorating tips? We wanted the theme to be simple and classic, so the colour scheme was white with pops of yellow to make the room light and bright. Pretty candles and fairy lights also made the space romantic and inviting at night.
The best photo locations around the venue… were in the long ornamental grass which has a blush-pink tinge at dusk that makes for very romantic photos, and under the beautiful weeping willows by the water. On the day… staff treated us like the most important people in the world. Everything ran smoothly thanks to our amazing coordinator, Melissa and her fabulous team.
Our guests especially enjoyed… the fabulous food, service, room styling, DJ and spectacular fireworks provided by Lakelands.
Three words about the venue? Stunning, quality, stress-free.
I will always remember… the party, the fireworks, and how we were able to completely relax and enjoy the company of our friends and family. It was a fun and exceptionally romantic day – and even better than either my husband or I had dreamed it would be.
What was the best thing about the on-site accommodation? It was conveniently located beside the golf club, only a two-minute walk from the reception room. Our unit was ultra comfortable, clean and surprisingly large – featuring wonderful views of the golf course and sweeping vistas of the Gold Coast.
