Perfect Places

Perfect Place: Botanica Bali

Looking for the perfect reception venue? We quizzed QB readers Anita and Adam on why they chose Botanica Bali as their venue and why they loved it!

What we loved about the venue…

It was spectacular. The Royal Pita Maha is built into a stunning valley which descends to the Ayung River. Surrounding the wedding pavilion is lush tropical vegetation and the peaceful river. The Sacred Temple reception area was beautifully decorated with fairy lights, lanterns and flowers.

The food and service were…

The food was delicious – there was great variety of food throughout the day, and it was well-received by our guests. The service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at Bali Botanica.

The best photo locations at Royal Pita Maha are:

The venue is so stunning anywhere you look is a great photo spot. Our favourite location was the by the sacred pool and also by the beautiful Ayung River.

We decorated with…

We chose the Royal Balinese theme which included vivid orange marigolds lining the stairs, a traditional Balinese entrance archway handcrafted from coconut leaves, two red traditional umbrellas framing the entrance, gold chair sashes and table runners and floral centrepieces in red, orange and yellow tones for every table.

Three words to describe the venue.

Majestic, magical, breathtaking

The accommodation at was great because…

We stayed in the beautiful honeymoon villa the night of our wedding with its own pool and lovely views over the valley. There are many accommodation options in Ubud and Bali Botanica did a great job of coordinating transport for the guests to and from the wedding.
