Perfect Places

Perfect Place: Flaxton Gardens

Looking for the perfect reception venue? We quizzed QB readers Jared and Elise on why they chose their venue and why they loved it!

What we loved about the venue:
The atmosphere. After seeing Flaxton Gardens’ amazing coastal views, gardens, windmill and vineyard we knew it was the perfect place. It’s accessible on a main road but once you’re inside it feels so private and intimate. It’s just like a fairytale, yet so close to home.

The food and service were…

Amazing. We have often dined at their restaurant and have loved their cuisine, which was another reason for choosing Flaxton Gardens. We knew from the beginning that the food was going to be great. We loved the food choices and variety of menus while their service was flawless. Everyone was so friendly and organised and willing to help out with everything.

The best photo locations at Flaxton Gardens are…

How do you choose between so many lovely photos! The ones that really stood out to us would have to be:

1. In front of the wisteria

2. Sitting on the steps with the waterfall behind

3. In the vineyard with the windmill.

We decorated with…
Each table was adorned with long-stemmed white lilies, surrounded by fish bowls and hand-picked preserved autumn leaves. At the bridal table sat two elegant hand-crafted glass swans. There was also a larger fish bowl with two large goldfish to represent us as a couple.

Three words to describe the venue?
Romantic, elegant, delightful.

The accommodation at Flaxton Gardens is great because?
My sisters and I stayed at the Flaxton Gardens the night before our wedding so it would be easier in the morning to set up and get ready. There were four amazing rooms, two with their own bathrooms, everything was so large and spacious and relaxing, it really helped on the big day.
