Perfect Place: Room Three Sixty

Looking for the perfect reception venue? We quizzed QB readers Rachel and Dale on why they chose their reception venue and why they loved it!

What we loved about the venue…

mixing the traditional with the modern! Old Government House provided such a beautiful, historic backdrop for our ceremony and Room Three Sixty set the perfect scene for our reception, with spectacular views over Brisbane’s city skyline.

The food & service were…

With so many menu options, we found it difficult to make our selections. There is absolutely something for everyone! At our wedding, delicious food and attentive bridal table service truly topped off our night.

The best photo locations at Old Government house and Room Three Sixty are…

Old Government House is a true gem with its stunning architecture and features not to mention the Botanic Gardens right on the doorstep. Upstairs at Room Three Sixty, you capture river views over Southbank and out to Mt Coot-tha, as well as the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and the Story Bridge.

We decorated with…

colourful blooms, crystal vases, and hanging tea light candles.

Three words to describe the venue?

Breathtaking, unforgettable and perfect!

What off-site accommodation was close by?

We stayed at Quay West and the bridal party actually walked to the ceremony— it is that close! With balconies facing the Botanic Gardens and overlooking Old Government House, Quay West was the perfect choice for us.
