Perfect Place: Sirromet Wines

  |

Looking for the perfect reception venue? We quizzed QB readers Charlotte and Tim on why they chose Sirromet Wines and why they loved it!

What we loved about the venue…

We wanted to get married at a winery and have the ceremony and reception at the same venue. Sirromet stood out as the grounds were so well-tended, the staff were helpful and professional, and we loved the beautiful old trees at the Tuscan Terrace.

The venue looked amazing when… the trees were scattered with fairy lights and white lanterns. After sunset, the terrace looked magical.

The food was… absolutely delicious, and there was plenty of it which isn’t always the case with a cocktail wedding. Our favourites were probably the canapés.

Decorating tips?

We opted for the decorations package through Sirromet’s stylist Julie Vine, and were not disappointed – the Tuscan Terrace marquee and Amoroso ceremony were just stunning. We kept the decorations simple, clean and fresh with white flowers and greenery, white lanterns, tea lights and Hampton striped chair covers.

On the day… everything was just perfect. The day ran so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff at Sirromet, particularly our wedding coordinator. She thought of everything and was on hand whenever we needed her.

The best photo locations around the venue? Our photographer Bayleigh took us down to the back paddock where she got some great photos as the sun set.We also got some lovely photos on the terrace underneath the trees.

Our guests especially enjoyed… how beautiful the venue was and the quality of the food. We also had some family over from the UK who were very excited to see kangaroos jumping around the vineyard!

Three words about the venue? Elegant, unique, professional.

I will always remember… pulling up to the venue (full of butterflies!) and stepping out of the car to see Tim and all of our family and friends in such a beautiful setting, and wanting to stay in that moment forever.
