Wedding Venue

Perfect Place: Summit Restaurant

Looking for the perfect wedding venue? Cameron and Kara reveal why they had their wedding reception at Summit Restaurant and why they loved it!

What we loved about the venue

As we had guests travelling from interstate and overseas, we loved that we could have our wedding and reception in the one location whilst showing our guests one of the best views that our city has to offer.

The food & service were…

impeccable! Kelly and her team at Summit Restaurant were very prompt to answer all of our questions in the lead up to the wedding and nothing was too much to ask. We had a cocktail themed wedding with mini mains and the food was delicious and plentiful

The best photo locations at Summit Restaurant are…

by having our wedding at Mt Coot-tha we were able to have a number of photo opportunities without driving very far. We could capture the city view from the lookout and have more natural photos at the base of the mountain at JC Slaughter Falls and the Brisbane Botanic Gardens

We decorated with…

plenty of fresh flowers and tea lights. We didn’t want to over decorate as the main reason we choose the venue was for its existing decoration – the amazing city views and the historic building

Three words to describe the venue

Magical, romantic, elegant

What off-site accommodation was close by?

Many of our guests stayed at Southbank or in the city. We organised for a bus to bring all of our guests to and from the mountain. On the evening we stayed at the Stamford Plaza
