“Everything about this day was super special. Jen and Jon live and work in Melbourne but are originally from Brisbane, so a wedding in their hometown was a must and so too was the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse.

What I loved about photographing this wedding, as with any wedding I photograph really, is that it’s all about the people. Jen, Jon and their wonderful family so warmly welcomed me in, so openly wore their hearts on their sleeve and embraced the day for what it was all about, a celebration of love and commitment.

The weather didn’t really go to plan – it actually started raining during the ceremony – and the little bit of rain soon turned into a massive storm!

We had plans to head out to the park using the exterior of the Powerhouse, but it didn’t bother Jen and Jon a bit and thanks to the Brisbane Powerhouse we got some back stage passes which became the backdrop for the bridal portraits. Their wedding day was the right amount of fun and heart… it was perfect.”
