QB: How did you meet?

We met in year 11, 2008 at Albany Creek High School. We both had a ‘crush’ on each other since the day we met.

QB: Tell us about the proposal…

It was our 5 year anniversary, Jake took me to Stadbroke Island. He surprised me with candles on the bed that quoted ‘I love you’ then he took me for a walk were we spent our first anniversary at Frenchman’s Cove, he sat me down on a rug, blind folded me as he got the ring out of the bag along with a speaker box and played our favourite song, after taking the blind fold off he was down on one knee, he went on about how much he loved me and asked me to be his wife.

QB: Why did you choose The Hilton, Fiji for your wedding?

We spent our anniversary there 5 years ago and fell in love with the amazing culture and surroundings.

QB: What did you do for your hens and bucks?

The girls took me to the Gold Coast for a night, and the boys took Jake to Byron Bay for a three night bender.

QB: What was your key styling inspiration?

QB: What did you splurge on and what did you save on for your wedding?

We splurged on the decor, photographer and a videographer. We saved money on the DIY stationery.

QB: What gifts did you give your guests?

We gave our guests personalised cookies that said ‘Thank you’ and ‘Natalie & Jake’.

QB: What was the funniest moment of the day?

The speeches.

QB: What was the most special memory from the day?

Jake seeing me walk down the isle and finally saying ‘I do’ and of course spending our special day with our closest family and friends.

QB: What did you do for your honeymoon?

We went to Bali.

QB: A special thanks too …

My amazing husband for supporting me through everything and our family and friends for coming all the way to Fiji to share our special day with us. Also to Jakes Mum and Dad for all the little surprises along the way.

QB: What advice would you give other brides-to-be?

It’s amazing how fast the day goes – have some ‘me’ time on the day, stay hydrated and love every single minute of it.
