Real Wedding: Bridget & Brendan

  |

The chance to linger longer on a weekend farm stay was the clincher for Bridget Palmer and Brendan Lewis when choosing their wedding location. The setting fulfilled their dream of a rural, outdoor celebration and was complemented beautifully by a styling scheme of crisp white and plush pastel accents. Moments of fun were many for the stylish pair – including close encounters with the local animals, quirky group photos and the groom’s impromptu performance of Total Eclipse of the Heart.

How did you meet?

We met while working out at Roma Hospital.

Tell us about the proposal…

Brendan proposed in Stanthorpe – he had a whole weekend planned but panicked and gave a heartfelt, impromptu proposal when we arrived!

Why did you choose Mango Hill Farm for your wedding?

It was important to us to be married outside and we wanted a rural setting. Mango Hill farm was perfect – beautiful and relaxed. We were able to stay on the farm for the entire weekend.

What was the funniest moment from the day?

Brendan’s impromptu performance of Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Key Styling Inspiration

Images from magazines and Instagram.

Where did you splurge and where did you save on your wedding?

We saved money by purchasing our own alcohol, having a good friend make our cake and relying on our trusty playlists for music! We were happy to spend more on the memories we can keep – rings and photography.

DIY Details

Some small details including a chalk board and badges!

What gifts did you give your guests?

Lolly bags and badges.

What did you do for your honeymoon?

We took off to Turkey and Greece alternating between honeymoon luxe and grungy backpacker.

What was the most special memory from the day?
