Smooth sailing at Port Office Hotel

After a number of years as one of Brisbane’s favourite wedding venues, the Heritage-listed Port Office Hotel has undergone an exciting renovation.

For co-owners Meagan and Nick, the most exciting part of the transformation was being able to physically bring their vision to life in such a beautiful and iconic Brisbane hotel. And, to show that the Port Office encompasses more than just a restaurant. “We wanted brides and grooms to know that the entire hotel can be made available for their special day,” says Meagan.

“We decided to rebrand Fix Restaurant to simply Port Office Dining Room and the Liber Lounge upstairs (formerly a nightclub) is now called the Colonial Bar,” she says. “Although the rebrand has been quite simple, the refurbishment was anything but and the whole venue is now simply stunning.”

NEW SPACE + NEW MENU
The building itself is not the only thing to undergo a transformation: the entire Port Office Hotel menu has also been revamped. Closely following the trends of its European counterparts, Port Office Hotel has imported a rotisserie from France and opened its exciting new nose-to-tail section in the newly refurbished, sophisticated Port Office Dining Room.

ENGAGEMENT PARTIES + WEDDINGS
The refurbishment also extends to the stunning Queensland-style Colonial Bar, while a new-look Front Bar makes the perfect pre-reception meeting place for guests. The entire hotel provides a gorgeous backdrop for a picture-perfect wedding or engagement party.
