Wedding: Rinique + Jack

You can find love in the most random of places – for Rinique, it was literally just next door. “Jack and I met in 2010 when we were living next door to each other,” explains Rinique. “We started dating a month after we first met and have been together ever since!”

After becoming engaged on Rinique’s 24th birthday, the happy couple started planning a beautiful celebration in the picturesque gardens at Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort on the Sunshine Coast. When the big day arrived, the weather forecast was less than promising – especially for an outdoor ceremony. “The day started out as a very wet one – there was lots of rain and it didn’t look like it was going to clear up either,” says Rinique. When midday came and it was nearly time to tie the knot, the weather didn’t show any signs of improving – but that didn’t stop Rinique and Jack. “We decided to bite the bullet and go ahead with what we had planned. And then the weather turned it on for us, and it ended up being the most beautiful, sunny afternoon!” Yes, we were a little worried for a second, too.

After saying “I do” before their loved ones, Rinique and Jack explored the resort’s grounds for photos with their bridal party… and a few cheeky kangaroos. Returning to their reception, the couple joined their guests to share in plenty of scrumptious food and good music. “I honestly could not have wished for a more beautiful day,” says Rinique. “It was perfect!”

Most special memory from the day? “Towards the end of the reception, the band stopped playing and Jack led me up to the stage where he told me to take a seat. Turns out he had secretly been learning the piano for six months, just so he could play my favourite song for me!”

Why did you choose your venue? “Noosa Springs had amazing gardens and they really looked after us both during the planning process and on the big day.”
