Vintage with a Modern Twist

D.I.Y.
My favourite detail was our lovely handmade bird bride and groom cake toppers. It was the first thing I bought after we got engaged and they were a big inspiration in theming the rest of the wedding.

How Timothy and Jennifer Met
We met five and a half years ago at a mutual friend’s beach party and became good friends. A month or so later, Tim asked me out on a date and the rest is history.

Proposal
Tim proposed as we walked across the Victoria Bridge (in Brisbane city) after having dinner at our favourite restaurant. He had also arranged for us to have the following day off work and surprised me with a long weekend away at Montville.

Funniest Moment
It would have to be the best man splitting his pants on the dance floor!

Special Memory
Our first dance. The best man with six of our close friends surprised us by performing our first dance song with ukuleles. It was so special. Tim and I will never forget it.

Special Thanks
Timothy – thank you for never giving up on me and always making me laugh. Mum – thank you for helping me create my dream wedding.

Advice / Comments
A friend (also a recent bride) told me to find a quiet spot before the wedding to take a few deep breaths and reflect on all the lovely things in life. It was great advice.
