As the group weddings manager at three very distinct venues, how would you describe the personality and wedding style of each?

“Each venue truly has its own personality, which naturally attracts different types of couples. The Warehouse is rich in history and original architecture; it’s perfect for couples wanting a personalised, design-driven wedding with a nod to heritage. Cloudland is renowned for its grand interiors and theatrical style; it’s bold, unforgettable, and unlike anything else in Brisbane. The Island lives up to its name, with a boutique, coastal vibe that feels relaxed yet polished. While couples tend to enquire directly at each venue, it quickly becomes clear to us if one of our other venues is a better-suited alternative.”

What trends are you seeing in styling, catering or planning right now?

“We’re loving that couples are stepping outside the box and leaning into more stylised, interactive wedding experiences. This is showing up in creative menu choices like custom desserts and cocktails, and styling that incorporates texture-rich florals and food presentation. There’s also a growing appreciation for all-inclusive services, where food, beverages, styling, and planning are seamlessly handled. This is something that we proudly offer at each of our venues.”

What’s something you and your team do behind the scenes that couples might not notice, but makes a big difference on the day?

“One of the biggest things we offer is our end-to-end coordination. From the moment a couple books, we step in to handle everything, including vendor liaising, menu tastings, styling and floral concepts, event orders, and of course, on-the-day execution. While many other venues leave these details to the couple to coordinate, our team takes care of it all to ensure a seamless experience on the day, backed by a full team of professionals working behind the scenes.”

What’s something a couple might not think to ask, but really should know about?

“Ask who will actually be there on the day. Who’s letting the vendors in? Who’s doing the sound check? Who’s receiving the cake and meeting you when you arrive? One of the most valuable things we offer is continuity, so the same planner who guides you through the lead-up is there on the day. We form real relationships with our couples so they feel safe, supported, and completely looked after from start to finish.”

What’s your favourite part of the wedding day – the moment that still gives you goosebumps, no matter how many weddings you’ve worked on?

Oh, it has to be the ceremony. No matter how many weddings I’ve seen, that moment when the bride walks down the aisle (often with her dad) to a meaningful song, the groom waiting at the end, sometimes with their kids as flower girls or ring bearers … it gets me every time. I’m a sodden mess! It’s the heart of the whole day, and for me, it will never stop being special.”
