A wedding in the heart of Mother Nature is what you’re looking for at Walkabout Creek.
Located only 12 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD, Walkabout Creek is a prime piece of Queensland brushland, forestry, and park trails flanking the very tranquil Enoggera Reservoir. There’s much splendour to see here, as Walkabout Creek was originally part of a Department of Natural Resources beautification project for Brisbane Expo 88.
For your wedding, Walkabout Creek’s venues are winners all their own. There’s a large clearing that can work as your outdoor wedding venue on a clear day, complete with a wooden arch. Another is the LakeView Stage, a wooden pavilion overlooking a certain section of Enoggera with wooden benches as pews. How about the Rainforest Stage, a small amphitheatre with the ceremony area’s decked up in corrugated tin roofing and aged timber, and the audience area structured in timber?
Sweeten the pot further with a reception right in Walkabout Creek. You have a choice of the Ferntree Room, which accommodates 70 people in a sit-down setting, or 110 on cocktails, plus the Banksia Room for 110 banquet guests or 200 cocktail attendees. The catering is handled by noted Brisbane outfit Cuisine on Cue, offering you a raft of delights for that first meal as a married couple.
Spend time together with your loved one amidst nature with adventure activities such as kayaking, hiking, and biking.
Make that first step in your new life at Walkabout Creek.
