A modern Queensland wedding brand with a trusted heritage

Since launching its first print edition in 1984, Queensland Brides has maintained its standing with both the Queensland wedding industry and couples alike as the most trusted local source for anyone planning a wedding in Queensland. As a forum for showcasing the best wedding experts in the state and sharing wedding news and practical planning advice, Queensland Brides speaks directly to couples — informing and inspiring their journey with engaging content and covering everything from veils to venues.

As the local authority in Queensland weddings, the magazine is complemented by a high-performing website, queenslandbrides.com.au. The best wedding products and services are showcased here via editorial curation, a vendor directoryreal weddings, image galleriesstyled shoots, and vendor portfolios.  And our regular social drops of inspiration via Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook help ensure couples can access Queensland wedding content wherever and whenever they choose.

Then and now …

Starting life as a print edition (originally Wedding Vows for the Queensland Bride), this was the first magazine to showcase the Queensland wedding industry while also being produced and published in the Sunshine State (as most national publications were produced in Sydney or Melbourne).

The brand has always been a family affair. It was launched by Graphic Publishing, whose founding partners include Rhonda Bannister, Karen Wright (Rhonda’s sister), and Colin Wright (Rhonda’s brother-in-law). Rhonda became the sole owner and managing director of Graphic Publishing in 1989, and her three daughters (Tanya Joslin, Nikki Ernst & Natalie Bannister) all joined the company over the following years, leading the proudly female-led company to be positioned as one of Australia’s premier lifestyle publishing and media companies with print, digital and social media brands catering to the wedding, homemaker, romantic travel, and destination wedding markets.

Today, Queensland Brides is solely owned by Nikki Ernst, who continues to expand and build upon her mother’s legacy and the success of the brand, releasing three free-to-read digital editions annually [Autumn/March, Winter/July, and Spring/Summer in November]. Each lovingly curated edition provides a convenient and interactive audience experience with best-in-state-based products and services, real weddings, and interactive editorial content that is perfect for the modern couple planning their wedding in Queensland.

Our powerful combination of digital, social, and direct marketing ensures that after nearly four decades of business, Queensland Brides continues to stay connected with the Queensland wedding industry and its audience, making it the number-one wedding media brand in the state.
