We’ve seen it a million times in all our favourite chick flicks but for Natasha and Nicholas, the dream of seeing someone at a bar and falling in love right away came true! The Glenmore Tavern set the scene for the blossoming romance and Natasha says she “knew straight away this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with.”
According to Natasha things moved very quickly, “we started dating after a couple of weeks, after 2 months nick asked me if I wanted to buy a house with him, and a year after that we had a house and a baby on the way.”
After an adorable proposal involving their 18 month old daughter Grace, Natasha and Nicholas began to plan the big day. It wasn’t long though before the plans ran in to a little bump in the road. After booking and falling in love with a venue, a few months out from their big day, they were informed that it would be shutting down. Luckily, before they had any time to panic, they found out that their original venue has transferred their deposit to another venue close by: Zilzie Bay Resort. Natasha describes the drama as “a blessing in disguise” and that the venue was “just gorgeous”.
The drama didn’t end there, just a week out from the big day, Natasha caught her 10 month old’s illness which included not only a viral infection but also an ear infection, tonsillitis and conjunctivitis. She recovered as best she could and despite having “a husky man’s voice” and despite throwing up in the car on the way to the ceremony, Natasha described the day as “perfect”. Natasha and Nicholas were wed later that day in a gorgeous ceremony on the beachside Zilzie Bay Resort surrounded by family and friends.
