For Sharni and Guy, their dream wedding venue had to tick a few boxes – it had to be a winery, it had to accommodate an intimate guest-list and it had to boast a stunning setting. Winning them over, Toowoomba’s Preston Peak Winery went above and beyond to make their special day just what they envisioned.
When first planning their wedding, the loved-up couple had to make an important decision. “We had the opportunity to start a small business so we had to weigh up whether to follow that or have a large wedding,” explains Sharni. “We decided to focus on our future with the business without giving up on our dream wedding by inviting our very nearest and dearest.”
Passionate about bringing to life brilliant celebrations for both small and large guest-lists, Preston Peak Winery was the perfect match for Sharni and Guy’s elegant wedding. “Everything was perfect and totally stress-free,” says Sharni. “Preston Peak catered to our every need.”
Exchanging vows before 18 loved ones after walking down the aisle to Guy’s stepfather playing John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ on the harmonica, the two later explored Preston Peak’s breathtaking grounds for a romantic photo session. “We loved not being held to any timeframes and being able to have more time for our photos,” says Sharni. “We were able to spend more quality time with our guests and share the excitement with everyone!”
Treating guests to exquisite fare and the winery’s own fantastic produce, the two topped things off with a very special ‘first dance’. “We incorporated an Italian tradition from Guy’s background where guests wrapped us in streamers, binding our love together,” remembers Sharni. “It was so amazing to share moments like these with our closest friends and family. The whole day was all about us and our love!” Sounds heavenly to us!
