Summer tends to bring out the party in me. Blame it on sparkly Christmas cheer. Or fizzy New Year’s Champagne. Or balmy nights under the stars. The warmer months just have me kicking up my heels like no other season. Little wonder why it’s a hectic time for weddings… and proposals!
Celebration is certainly in the air this issue. Not only are we toasting our 30th birthday, previewing the 2015 trends rocking the wedding world, sharing tips on how to plan the perfect reception party, and showcasing the gorgeous gowns from the Queensland Brides Design Awards, but we also meet our Cover Girl Competition winner Bec Dwyer (nee Reuter). Bec is such a beautiful example of a Queensland bride – and she just happens to be an Australian Hockeyroo star as well! Check out her wedding on p.310.
