Gold Coast weddings have a new home in the Glasshouse — an airy, marquee-style venue that’s part of The Island Gold Coast boutique hotel and just a bouquet toss from Surfers Paradise Beach. Layered textures, natural elements, and on-point neutrals invite the outdoors in while looks from Wendy Makin and Wil Valor play up the sophisticated coastal aesthetic.

Jess wore French Collection by Wendy Makin. The gown’s draped cowl back and train are a subtle nod to the nearby ocean waves, bringing softness and movement to a sleek silhouette.
We love a wedding venue where you can stay and celebrate. Models Jess and Nathan prepared in one of The Island’s luxurious King Suites, with private balcony and sea views, before heading downstairs to the Glasshouse.
The venue is home to a fabulous 12-metre alfresco bar that draws on a nautical palette of navy and brass.
Channelling the Gold Coast locale and Glasshouse vibe, Main Event Weddings invited the outdoors in with neutral tones, woven textures, natural materials.
The Glasshouse can be styled up for a banquet celebration (shown here) or a cocktail soirée for up to 700!
Natural linens, brass and glass accents, and washed-back tones of sage, taupe and seafoam create an organic feel.

Jess changed up her look for a frolic on Surfers Paradise Beach, slipping on the Havana gown in luxe stretch crepe (chic and comfortable) from Wendy Makin.
The team couldn’t resist ducking up to The Island’s Penthouse for a few shots. Those skyline views are hard to top!
