This gorgeous Sunshine Coast wedding is just full of charm! After meeting at work and going on to fall in love and become engaged, Lucy and Rich dreamed of saying “I do” in a classically elegant wedding somewhere beautiful. “We decided on the Sunshine Coast hinterland because it’s so picturesque and it was a great place to spend time with family and friends who were travelling from the UK and interstate,” explains Lucy.
Working with planners and stylists Cloud Nine Weddings, the two brought to life an incredible celebration up in the mountains. Escaping with their bridal party for a few days before the wedding, Lucy and Rich met at Maleny’s enchanting Little White Church for a heartfelt ceremony. “I had both of my parents walk me down the aisle and I was almost in tears the whole time,” remembers Lucy. “I eventually shed some tears during our vows!” Don’t worry, they’re tears of joy, we’re told.
Declared ‘husband and wife’, the two later moved the festivities to the old-world Montville Village Hall nearby. “It was a gorgeous, quaint and relaxed venue – essentially a blank canvas for us to style how we wanted,” says Lucy. Decked out with grand long tables, flickering candles, luxe linens and a touch of greenery, it provided a magical setting for Lucy and Rich’s fun-filled reception. “We were blown away with how the hall looked when it was dressed up with gorgeous decorations and lights by Cloud Nine Weddings!”
After having photos taken with their bridal party, the couple shared an indulgent spit-roast feast with guests and listened to hilarious speeches. Topping everything off, a live band took to the stage and had everyone letting their hair down. “We had the Radio Club Band play some monster dance-floor hits and all of our guests loved dancing to the amazing tunes,” says Lucy.
An amazing day full of sweet moments, Lucy and Rich’s wedding was all that they could’ve wanted. “Our day flowed so well because of the assistance we had from Cloud Nine Weddings and our venue was simply stunning, lovely, and elegant,” says Lucy. “It was truly special to see everyone we love having a wonderful time in such a beautiful setting. Our wedding was truly perfect and we wouldn’t change anything!”
