Queensland’s Top Hinterland Wedding Venues for Enchanting Celebrations

Venues // by The QB Team

Queensland has breathtaking hinterland locations stretching from Gold Coast locations like Beechmont and Mount Tamborine to Brisbane Valley and further north to quaint towns like Maleny and Montville on the Sunshine Coast. With sigh-inducing views, blissfully cool(er) climates and a real escaped-from-it-all atmosphere, these hinterland venues offer not just a backdrop for the ceremony but also a unique atmosphere that sets the stage for a truly memorable reception celebration.

Here are a few of our favourite hinterland wedding venues for an enchanting Queensland celebration …

RealWedding_Brianna_Craigie_14Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery

With plenty of old-world charm, Cedar Creek Estate on picturesque Mount Tamborine (an hour south of Brisbane and 45 minutes north of the Gold Coast) is perfect for romantics. Keep the day classic and elegant with a ceremony in the venue’s Sandstone Chapel, or take in glorious surroundings as you say “I do” on a pier overlooking a lake. Top it all off with photos in Cedar Creek’s vineyards and manicured gardens before joining guests for a reception in the venue’s Cedar Room. With incredible vineyard views, it’s a great canvas for showcasing your personal style.

Close enough to the city to be convenient but just far enough to escape the hustle and bustle, Cedar Creek Estate is also ideal for fantastic weekend-long celebrations. Located just moments from some of Mt Tamborine’s top attractions, the venue also offers the help of an onsite coordinator to make sure everything comes together perfectly. QB approves!

If you want to tie the knot indoors, the venue’s colonial-style Lakehouse has plenty to impress couples – think chandelier lighting and a grand internal balcony. But the most popular option at Secrets on the Lake is to say “I do” on the expansive deck, with magical lake views as a backdrop. Sigh.
