Aussies include pets for the ‘paw-fect’ wedding day

Tips + Advice // by Emily Russ

What’s better than a wedding? A wedding with animals, obviously. It’s not just us that think so. Research out last week says that Aussies are taking their beloved furry friends everywhere with them – including their wedding.

According to pet-sitting service Pawshake, more than 50% of brides and grooms-to-be are thinking of their pets when planning the big day – and almost a quarter include them in the bridal party. Puppy ring bearer? We approve. Almost a third dress their pets for the occasion, while 54.2% would cancel or postpone their honeymoon if they couldn’t find a suitable pet care solution. That’s dedication.

Recently we fell in love with a wedding in the US where the bride and groom swapped the traditional bouquet for rescue puppies. With photos as utterly adorable as these, it’s clear that couples aren’t barking mad to include their pets. Sorry, not sorry.
