Found yourselves sitting with a pile of blank thank you cards thinking, ‘What the heck do I write’? Don’t worry, we all need a little ‘inspiration’ sometimes – no judgement! Skip the stress-out and follow these simple (but still sweet) templates to show your guests how much you really care.

“We can’t thank you enough for your generous gift! We’re really excited to [treat ourselves to a massage on our honeymoon, add it to our house deposit fund, order a couple rounds of margaritas at our next date night, etc.]. The best gift was having you there on our special day and we’re so grateful that you could attend!”

“It was so lovely to have you there at our wedding! Your thoughtful gift means so much to us and, thanks to you both, we’ll be able to [upgrade our flights to business class, finally book that cocktail-making class, etc.] – seriously, it’s much appreciated!”

If… they gave a physical gift

“Wow, you guys outdid yourself – we can’t wait to Instagram the heck out of your awesome [insert gift here]! Thank you so much for being a part of our special day. Your generosity and friendship means the world to us!”

“We really appreciate the fabulous [insert gift here]. We’ve already used it so, needless to say, your generous gift has really come in handy! We loved catching up with you at our wedding and look forward to the next time we see you.”

If… they only attended the wedding

“We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the well wishes and for joining us on our special day! We loved every moment we shared with you – from [insert special moment here] to [insert another special moment here]. You guys are the best!”

“It meant so much to us to see you at our wedding! Our special day was even more incredible because you were there to celebrate with us.”

If… they couldn’t attend but sent a gift

“Thank you so much for the beautiful gift! We’re so pumped to [insert here how you’d use the gift]. We’re sorry you couldn’t make it to our wedding but wanted to let you know that we really appreciate your kind words and warm wishes.”

“It was so kind of you to send [insert gift here]. Every time we use it/them we’ll think of you. We wish you could have been there on our special day but we look forward to our next catch-up!
