Wedding trends 2019: Deep, rich tones

Step out of neutral territory and prepare to taste the rainbow. 2019 looks set to see pastels temporarily on pause while deep jewel tones and upbeat bold brights are a go!

The overall look is decidedly more rich and moody so consider hunter green and emerald, berry pink, burgundy, blue topaz, and even warm shades of honeyed-yellow and orange. Start with an ivory base and take one accent colour through into key elements including bridesmaid gowns, invitations, the cake, bouquets, and reception florals or go all-out with an opulent match-up such as emerald with regal purple or gold.

If you’re keen to work the trend but don’t know where to start, bring a stylist on board who can suggest a colour collab perfect for the tone of your day. Still a little colour shy? Bridal shoes in your favourite statement shade will bring the element of surprise.
