It’s tricky compiling a floral forecast (they’re all our favourites!) but there are certainly changes blooming across the wedding world. After several years as the star attraction, foliage is taking a backseat to more lush floral elements and perfectly round, full blooms. So, consider swapping your palm leaves for king protea and start getting excited about trucking in David Austin roses, dahlias, peonies or ranunculus.
It’s also definitely time to check out orchids in a range of tones. Greenery in general isn’t going anywhere though, just toned down a notch (unless it’s spray-painted gold). Expect the love affair with eucalyptus, vines and even ferns to flourish, especially in the form of hoop arrangements and table garlands. Look out for striking architectural installations, complemented by a move towards bold, lush colours or crisp green and white with golden accents.
And finally, because we’re all big softies at QB, we love that florals with sentimental meaning are also in focus. Include a favourite flower from your grandpa’s garden in your bouquet or table arrangements and feel extra connected to family throughout your celebration. Seeking ideas?
