In 2017 we saw a lot of fresh white florals with bright green foliage. This look is still popular in 2018, but it’s all about bolder – and darker – blooms.
Deep wine-coloured tones mixed with pops of peach, soft pink and almost-black burgundy (plus plenty of foliage) look amazing at winter weddings. Beautiful at practically any time of the year, eye-catching combinations of dark blues, burgundies and purples with bright pops of yellow, fuscia, red and cream (or peach) work well with blush-toned dresses. Fresh white blooms are still popular, but think more giant orchids than delicate baby’s breath. One last tip? Ditch the peonies and forget the tight-budded roses; ask your florist about dahlias, ranunculus, anemones and roses with large petals.
Don’t know your anemones from your dahlias? We collected some visual examples to get you inspired.
