Why did you choose this venue?
“ The team at Blackbird are incredible – we regularly eat at the restaurant and had our engagement party there. We wanted something special for our reception, so when we heard of the new function space downstairs we had to check it out!”

Did the menu influence your decision?
“I knew everything would be good as I’ve never had a bad meal from Blackbird! I had the organic chicken breast, and it was perfect.”
Tell us about your decorations…
“There wasn’t much I needed to do in the space – the styling was gorgeous and the view did the talking.”
What’s the most unique thing about the venue?

“It has beautiful views, but it’s all indoors and immaculately presented. It really is an unprecedented venue.”
Did the venue help you resolve any problems or challenges?
“I’d forgotten that my grandmother [was] vegetarian and only realised as the meals were being served. Thankfully, [event manager] Chae and her team had confirmed meal requirements prior to service.”

What’s the best piece of advice the venue gave you?
“I was mystified by the timing on the day, but [event manager] Laila ensured everything ran like clockwork. Her expertise was so helpful!”
What’s the one thing you’d tell other couples considering this venue?
“The whole experience was so easy – I was able to enjoy the lead-up and the day itself, rather than worrying about details.”
The most memorable feedback from your guests?
“Everyone was blown away, saying it felt like there was plenty of love in the room.”
Your most precious memory?
“Walking into the reception with our loved ones watching – we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces!”
