Why we’re obsessed with this ‘Something Blue’ wedding cake & styled shoot

Okay, we’re first to admit we’re absolute suckers for something blue when it comes to weddings. It could be hydrangeas, sapphires or an ocean-dipped bridesmaid’s frock, and we’re pinning, sharing, and posting that blue hue tout suite

So naturally, when we spied this scroll-stopping wedding cake from The Cake That Ate Paris, we were instantly OBSESSED. Bonus: it’s a double-act. With a switcheroo of the finishing touches (handmade paper wafer flowers for a glam sequinned heart), the whole mood is transformed. And inside? White-chocolate mud cake with blueberries and pale blue buttercream. J’dore.

And who better to deliver this sweet obsession than the lovelies at Ivy & Bleu as part of their recent Academy shoot at Tweed Coast retreat Stonehill Estate? Putting a poolside twist on an elegant garden party, this is dreamy-fun inspo for your Queensland wedding.
