THE PROPOSAL
When Damien Moore proposed to Ariane Panochini, it was at the top of Mount Coot-tha Lookout after an hour-long bush walk in preparation for a trip to South America. But this time, Damien had stashed a ring in his back pocket.
Ariane put her hand on Damien’s back a few times during the walk, very close to the ring, but some quick thinking (and strategic hand-holding) averted any discovery disasters! At the top, Damien asked a tourist to take a photo of the couple, and then turned to Ariane and said: “But first I have a very important question to ask you”. Luckily, the impromptu photographer quickly realised what was going on, and captured the special moment!
THE RING
Why did you go to Stephen Dibb Jewellery?
“I went there on the recommendation of a work colleague and after doing my own online research,” says Damien. “I liked their designs, styles and workmanship, and left my first meeting with Rebecca confident that the team could translate my ideas to create the perfect ring”.
What did you end up choosing?
“A white-gold ring with a 45ct central diamond, and an infinity twist with grain-set diamonds.”
Top tip?
“Do your research! There’s plenty of information online, but don’t take this as the be-all and end-all. Speak to an expert, as they have so many tips and ideas that might take your idea to the next level.”
