Brisbane brides, have we got great news for you: beauty fave Brooklyn Beauty Bar now has a sleek new salon at The Barracks in Petrie Terrace. A haven for all your pre-wedding pampering needs, the new location offers the same services as their James Street salon in Fortitude Valley, and is a fantastic location for pre-wedding parties.

Both salons have been styled as a ‘gentlewoman’s club’ – they’re fun, urban and, as the name implies, have a New York feel with lots of leather, brick and velvet, great music and a 1940s/50s vibe.
Plus, in what is thought to be a world first, Brooklyn Beauty Bar has incorporated a liquor license in to both venues. The new salon at The Barracks has taken it a step further, with a champagne bar and a dedicated gin bar (with 38 different types of gin!). There’s also a pedi room, which can accommodate a party of eight – or you can book out the entire venue for a party of up to 40, so your Mum, sisters, bridesmaids and all your girlfriends can have their nails, brows and lashes done while enjoying a cheeky G+T, cocktail or a glass of bubbles.
