Located riverside across two architecturally acclaimed buildings in the Queensland Cultural Centre, QAGOMA offers picturesque venues to hold your wedding reception, whether grand or intimate.

QAGOMA is one of Australia’s most visited and dynamic art galleries. It offers ever-changing exhibitions and compelling experiences that will move and surprise you with an ever-evolving program of Australian and international displays.

We have two world-class event spaces to hold medium to large-size weddings – Watermall at Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Roof Terrace at Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). We also have the sought-after GOMA Restaurant at GOMA for holding intimate weddings.

QAGOMA is the only gallery in Queensland to prepare and deliver in-house restaurant and function catering. We have a culinary team of over 100 staff working across the award-winning function catering service, GOMA Bistro, QAG Cafe, and GOMA Restaurant (listed as the Top 10 Queensland Restaurant in 2022 and 2023 by Gourmet Traveller).

Our chefs are enormously proud of their cooking because they prepare everything in-house (from bread, sauce, and jam to ricotta and cream) and strongly support local produce. Our mouth-watering selection of cuisines will suit any palate and enhance your guests’ experience.
