State Library is a unique wedding venue located in the Cultural Precinct of South Brisbane. There are a number of wonderful spaces perfect for your special ceremony or reception, each with a picturesque view of the Brisbane skyline.
Poinciana Lounge– One of the Library’s breathtaking rooms, the second-floor Poinciana Lounge boasts of a cavernous ceiling, large windows covering two floors, and river views. It can hold up to 150 people for cocktail-type receptions and 100 for banquets.
Queensland Terrace– If you desire an open-air space, choose the Queensland Terrace. It can accommodate up to 300 guests for a unique cocktail reception or 150 for a banquet-style dinner. You might be won over by the six-metre-high ceiling, Tasmanian oak cabinets full of vintage teacup-and-saucer sets, and Chillagoe marble flooring.
The Red Box– Perfect for receptions with up to 40 guests in attendance, the Red Box extends out over the Brisbane River from the main building offering wall-to-wall windows, providing an impressive river and city skyline backdrop.
