What flowers should I be using?

AMY: “It’s best to work with your florist and let them recommend the flowers and foliages that will suit the type of installation they’re creating for you. For example, if you’re having a hanging ladder suspended above the bridal table, it will work best aesthetically to choose seasonal flowers that have a natural draping effect. The texture of the flowers and foliage, as well as their colours, play an important role in adding interest and harmony, as your eyes gaze over and through the entire hanging piece. It’s essentially a living piece of artwork on display.”

BIANCA: “It really depends on the design chosen, but most flowers can be used. If hanging from a high point, bigger blooms create more impact. Long-stem flowers such as delphiniums, tulips and orchids create a great effect and hang lower. The theme, colour palette and other flowers featured in the wedding must all work together. Let your florist know everything you’d love to have so they can suggest flowers that will work for all aspects of the wedding.”
