The main component that makes a cake stand out is the size. The bigger the cake the greater the impact and also of course, the details and decoration added.
All in the Details
Details that stand out and give the cake ‘wow factor’ include sugar flowers, edible gold or silver leaf, tiers covered with shimmering lustre dust and any sort of crystal element.
Bold colours like black and white make a big statement and draw lots of attention. Setting the cake up on a stand also adds the perfect finishing touch and gives it a more extravagant feel.
Sometimes bigger is better. Upsize your tiers to 4 or 5 and you can play with a range of flavours, finishes, details and textures.
Soften bold black and white with a plush quilted layer and a hit of perfectly-placed shine.
Cute or quirky toppers are an easy way to inject a little extra personality into your cake and give it a sweet finishing touch. Choose from edible sugar-based toppers or take-home china or fabric keepsakes.
Pink and gold makes a gorgeous combo. A little bit pretty. A little bit glam.
White on white looks luxurious with textural elements – think edible pearls and intricate lacework with a gleaming monogram.
